Our production philosophy reflects the organic viticulture, to provide minimal input in order to let the natural properties of the fruit come to the forefront.
Multiple small lots, scattered across the high elevation calcareous soils of Requena, are what defines the quality of our wines. Warm days provide ample ripeness to the wines, where the very cool nights preserve fresh acidity. The Macabeo vine age is 40yrs on average, and the SB was planted in the 90’s. Requena’s high elevation allows for a phenolic development in Macabeo that is ideal for skin contact wines that retain acidity, and intense aromatics.
Aromas of Apricot, salted honey, citrus. Vibrant orange color leads to a basket of dried apricot, tangerine, flamed orange drenched in acacia honey. The palate is rich with a medium to full bodied texture. The grip on the mid palate is intense and followed by a good amount of acidity. Crème de Apricot saturates the powerful finish, which has hidden layers of salted honey and citrus.
