As If - Curiosity Rosé Pét-Nat

As If - Curiosity Rosé Pét-Nat

Curiosity Pet-nat is a blend of 80% Petit Verdot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Made in the "ancestral" method. The wine is pressed, chilled, and bottled just before the first fermentation is completed, capturing the yeast and bubbles inside the bottle.

This is sparkling wine in its most raw form; it's unfined, unfiltered, with no sulfur added prior to bottling

Alie Sharper, founder and winemaker at Brooklyn Oneology and As If wines, is a third generation entrepreneur. Shaper’s first formal exposure to wine came at Cornell University’s intensive Friday afternoon wine course. Then she went on to work first in a winery tasting room in New York’s Hudson Valley, and then at the groundbreaking Vintage New York retail wine shop in Manhattan. Here she developed a passion for the wines of New York State while obtaining her Advanced Certificate from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust of London. Shaper applied this knowledge first as the beverage director at a multi-location restaurant group, and then as director of the New York City in-store tasting program for a major wine distributor.

Aromas of red cherry,  red raspberry with a whiff of orange peel followed by chewy strawberry starburst candy and black raspberry flavours on a zippy citrus finish.

Pair this with charcuterie, soft cheeses as well as briny oysters with a raspberry mignonette, crisp salads with strawberry vinegrette and sunshiny days.
