Grape Republic - Yamagata White (2019)

Grapes are from 85% Yamagata prefecture and 15% Yamanashi prefecture. Blended 4 types of components. Delaware from Yamagata for whole bunch press,Steuben from Yamagata for whole bunch press,Koshu from Yamanashi for 12 hours of skin contact and Delaware from Yamagata for 9 days of skin ferment. The wine was then aged in stainless steel vats. Aromatic,savoury,easy to drink.

Established in 2015 by two friends and restaurant owners, Kazuomi Fujimaki and Takayuki Taira, Grape Republic is a producer of wine in Japan, predominantly from Labrusca grapes in pergola. Wines from own vineyards as well as supporting ageing local growers.
