Gentle Folk Pack

Gentle Folk Pack

Bringing you the Gentle Folk Pack! We wanted to ensure that Gentle Folk gets a proper look. Often times we're fascinated by pretty labels and are quick to look past other selections that aren't as eye catching.

Gareth Belton's Pinot Noir selections are some of our favorites featured on our site. Balanced and structured, they are a delightful memorable wine experience.

This pack contains a bottle of Little Creek Pinot Noir, Piccadilly Pinot Noir and a bottle of Rainbow Juice.

Picadilly Pinot Noir - A mixture of 100% whole cluster and destemmed fermentation, 8 months in French oak barriques, 20% new

Little Creek Pinot Noir - In Gareth’s words:

“This has to be one of the most beautiful vineyards in the Adelaide Hills. It’s close-planted, and has been unirrigated for over 20 years.” The bird dotting the label is a tribute to the hens living in the vineyard, a beautiful sun-laden amphitheater close to Gareth’s heart.

A mixture of 100% and 50% whole cluster open-top fermentation, 8 months in French oak barriques, 35% new.

Rainbow Juice - “This cuvée originally started with a small vineyard in Basket Range planted to 21 varieties, but over time morphed into a medley of bits and pieces from all our vineyards and colors, hence…Rainbow Juice… Red varieties are direct pressed into rosé and the juice poured into a vat with the white varieties (de-stemmed) and then the vat is sealed up and left. So easy to drink. Straw, anyone?”

Originally from South Africa, Gareth has now lived in Australia for over 20 years. Finding his place in the Adelaide Hills, he quickly fell in love with the people and climate. A far cry from the inside of laboratories and lecture theatres where he was once was a marine scientist, Gareth enjoys being outside and using his hands so the life of a winegrower was far more appealing. Biodynamic viticulture and a light touch in the winery are the standard operating procedure for Gareth, but it is the sense of being effortlessly constructed, without feeling like they are manipulated in any way, that are the hallmarks of all the Gentle Folk wines.

Always balanced, structured, and complete,as Gareth notes, the different microclimates of the area allow for very different wines from his various vineyards. Gareth farms 7.5 hectares across 5 different sites in the Piccadilly Valley of the Adelaide Hills and produces approximately 3500 cases per year.

Little Crewk - Black Cherry, Mulberry, Smoke. A savory wine with immense power and perfume, spicy, generous, and warm.

Picadilly -  fresh cherries and red currants.

Rainbow Juice - Full-bodied and rich, yet the perfect pitch of fruit – sweetness, aromatics, and acid.
