Revel Cider - Ribbons

Ribbon is a thoughtful blend of cider, Muscat, blueberries and red plums. It's a beverage that reaches across categories—more than the sum of its parts.

There are thousands of varieties of Muscat, but our rosé, hybrid Muscat is such a treat.

It's like someone soaked a watermelon jolly rancher in grapefruit juice; it's wildly aromatic but somehow still balanced with tannic astringency.

Ribbon is a rare blend—but one of our all time favourites. 57 cases made.

Revel Cider & ibi wines started in 2014 as a solo passion project. Imagine our excitement when it turned out that, hey, lots of folks are fermentation enthusiasts!

By 2021, our team was seven people strong — with over 1000 cases of Revel cans and bottles shipped to discerning drinkers every month.

Our characterful native yeast fermentations explore the endless flavours Ontario has to offer. Combining farm-grown and foraged fruits, discovering what the fermentation process yields, and aiming to bring out the best of each ingredient is what makes us excited to come to work every day. (Well, that, and all the incredible smells.)

The aroma is layered and complex: candied grapefruit of Muscat, whiffs of piney cassis and plush blueberry juice meet a hint of farmyard from our native microflora.

The texture is strange and wonderful. Chewy blueberry skins, weighty Muscat wine, with snappy tannins that are hard to attribute to just one fruit. Bright apple acidity holds it all together.

Despite it's sweet aromas, Ribbon is tart and totally dry, like each of our ciders.
