Sonshine - "Nobra" Grolleau Pét-Nat (2020)

100 % Grolleau gris petillant naturel.

where – VdF (Loire/Vouvray) and Alsace

vineyards – organically farmed Chenin Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gamay and Cabernet Franc

winemaking – Zero to 25 parts sulfur added at bottling, depending on wine and vintage 

labor practices – from Lisanne: I do pretty much all the work by myself with the amazing help from Edouard, friends and family. During harvest I work with a picking team that are very often local people who come a do harvest every year to make money and enjoy the festivity of harvest. 

I’m small and can’t offer them a few weeks of fulltime harvestwork, so often I share a picking team with small winemakers around me. This way it’s interesting for them to work and earn good money during picking season. Everybody is payed a ‘Smic’ salary which is the standard minimum wage. On top of that I provide my team food and drinks, during the coffeebreak, lunch and a good apero at the end of the day. The goal is to have a good vibe and happy people during some hot or rainy picking days.
